Blake is Walking!!!

Blake took his first 5 steps with Papa Knute when we visited in early July - we were convinced that was it and we would start running.  But Blake decided that was no fun, so he waited 3 more weeks until we went to Minnesota and let mom and dad watch him learn how to really take off.  That's all it took and now we're off!  Nothing is off limits!

First Haircut

This little boy got his first haircut by Aunt Cindy!  Just a trim, but he did great!

Papa's Pond!

We finished the cousin visit with none other than time at Papa's Pond.  The kids had a blast playing in the water, sand, with golf balls, and everything they could find.  The adults enjoyed relaxing both in the water and out.  I don't think Papa and Grandma could have enjoyed the time more!

Aunt Val and Blake got along immediately!  This little boy missed his Aunt this past year!

Cousin Fun at the Zoo!

These three had not seen each other in over a year - and BOY were they excited!  They had a great time at Aunt Carrie's playing and doing sparklers, and then we spent the next day at the zoo.  It was HOT, but everyone had a great time.

Another Party!

We ended our birthday celebrations in Omaha with the Hallquist side!  The Hensley's (minus Zach - we missed you!!) flew into Omaha and we all met at Carrie & Josh's.  We celebrated with presents and ice cream cake on Saturday night.  Blake got a sweet 49ers Mickey Mouse, movies, and clothes.  I think he liked the ice cream the most!  It was great that the Hensley's finally got to meet Blake in person!!

The Big Day!

The Big Day - Blake is 1!  We celebrated with dinner out with Uncle Kyle and Traci, then cake and presents are our place.  I think he had fun digging into his turtle cake.  Boy was he dirty!!

Blake is One!!!

My baby Blake is turning one!!!  

Our first celebration was with the Newman side out at Papa Knute's pond.  There was food, fishing, presents and best of all - Mickey Mouse cupcakes.
