Halloween!

Tyler seemed to have fun for his first Halloween. We had a halloween shirt and cool socks (sorry Inky, not sure where they went for the picture, but we wore them!!!), and were a monkey for trick-or-treating. We went around to a few houses with the neighbor girl, Ashton.

Farming & Fishing!

When it's harvest time, Grandpa's don't have a lot of time to visit Des Moines.....so we decided to visit Stanton! The three of us took a weekday trip to Stanton and got to visit the guys in the field and ride in the combine with Papa Knute! Tyler thought it was pretty cool, especially all the buttons he could push. Then we talked to the guys from the senior center that came out to the fields for the morning. That afternoon Andrew and John helped my dad get fish from the DNR to stack the pond. Throw in a few visits with Grandma's and Great Grandma's, and it was a busy 24 hours...but worth it all!

I may get in trouble for this one, but I couldn't help it! :) Andrew said to blame him!

Pumpkins & Picnics

In early October we met up with the Perkins and Grandma & Grandpa Newman to celebrate Mason's birthday at a park and Pumpkin patch. The boys had a lot of fun throwing the football and chasing squirrls. The rest of us enjoyed just relaxing! Then we picked pumpkins and did a corn maze. It was great weather for a fun day!

1st ISU Football Game

We finally had an ISU football game as a day game and good weather, so we made a family day out of it. We ate and Jimmy John's (Mom's favorite in Ames!), looked around the bookstore, and then tailgated with Uncle Kyle. We then had a picnic lunch and headed into the game. We had some nice seats on the 5 yard line, about 4th row......but as I expected, it was just too loud for the little guy. But once we moved, he enjoyed the game. Too bad ISU didn't pull out a win.

Tyler and Uncle Kyle hanging at the tailgate.

This was as the team came out and the cannon shot off.
Here are our new seats - a LONG ways from the cannon!

But, we had fun so that's all that matters!

11 Months Old

October marks 11 months old.....we are crawling all over, love to play in the living room with our toys & ball table, and like to watch Mickey Mouse Club on TV. We are learning to fight naps and throw our food & cup off the high chair when we're done eating. But we are still a very happy and good boy. We laugh a lot, especially when tickled, eat well, and sleep all night through.

This is what happens when we fight taking a nap all day. :)

Aren't my boys cute!?!

What a smile! :)

September Fun & 10 Months old!

Tyler turned 10 months old in September. Here are some pictures of what he was up to then! He learned to crawl right at the end of August, and it was full force from the start!

Tyler & Daddy watching the ISU vs Iowa game. If you can see close enough, Tyler had a rough day (like the Cyclones) - he fell twice since he now knows how to pull himself up on things. Once on his right eye, and then his left cheek. Poor Cyclone kid!

Andrew & Tyler at a wedding reception we went to.

Starting in mid-August we began to really move around at night and sleeping on our tummy is a must. As soon as we lay him down he rolls over. We often find him up against the rails of the bed in the morning.

Grandpa John grew us a rather big squash.....

Uncle Kyle and Tyler at the Iowa State football spring day.

Gotta eat sweet corn when you're a farmer's grandkid!

Minnesota Part 8

Overall our trip was great. Here are a few pictures from the last day....

Grandpa & Grandma Newman w/ the grandkids.

Uncle Kyle, Tyler, & Dad, then our family, on the dock at Zorbaz on Little Pine Lake.

On the last night, Andrew convinced Kyle to go out with him in the boat. Those of us on the beach all noticed we had been receiving numerous "911" calls - they were stuck. John and Matt (armed with beverages) headed out to tow them in, expecting two very unhappy men. Instead, we found out that it wasn't engine troubles but lack of gas, and that they had caught a huge fish and didn't care that they had gotten stuck!

The Newman's on the last day - Tyler was in good spirits while packing, and even in the car. Good bye until next year!
