Pumpkin Patch

It's become a fun family tradition going to a pumpkin patch every fall.  This year we went to a different one with our friends the Flora's.

Couldn't resist - looked like such cute brothers!

I also got to go with Tyler and his preschool class to a pumpkin patch!  It was a lot of fun to spend the day 1:1 with my big boy!

He said this was his favorite - cooking with mud!

Family Fun!

Some end of the summer fun...

Blake is a huge fan of corn on the cob, as long as he can eat it himself!!

Tyler found a love for bowling.  We went about 3 times in Aug-Sept!

Had to hit the I-Cubs for one more baseball game (and water!).

Playing soccer in the back yard with dad.

We got to do one ISU tailgate!  The boys had a great time with Uncle Kyle, his fiance Traci, and her family & friends.

Tyler, Ashton, & Quinn - Urbandale had an outdoor day and blocked off the street with some vendors and food.

First Day of School!

First day of 4 year old Preschool!  Tyler wants to be a Pilot!

Annual Minnesota Vacation

End of July brings the annual Newman family Minnesota vacation.  This year was such a different story than last year with Blake not 5 weeks old!  Tyler had a blast playing in the sand, water, kayaks, and even a little fishing.  Blake just had fun being able to get around, as he learned how to walk!  Andrew got in some good fishing and kayak time with Kyle and his fiance Traci.  And I even got to get away for two kayak trips.  The weather was great and we had a good time.

Boys in Ty's bed in their Turtle pj's.  Ty had his own room this year.
Gotta have a sink bath in MN!

Traci out-fished the boys by FAR this year.  Yeah!!

Doesn't this make them both look old!?!

Tyler found that he likes to kayak!

Turtle races - Traci and Tyler were in the same heat.

Mom helped Blake.

The boys went on a boat ride - scary!!

Blake is Walking!!!

Blake took his first 5 steps with Papa Knute when we visited in early July - we were convinced that was it and we would start running.  But Blake decided that was no fun, so he waited 3 more weeks until we went to Minnesota and let mom and dad watch him learn how to really take off.  That's all it took and now we're off!  Nothing is off limits!

First Haircut

This little boy got his first haircut by Aunt Cindy!  Just a trim, but he did great!

Papa's Pond!

We finished the cousin visit with none other than time at Papa's Pond.  The kids had a blast playing in the water, sand, with golf balls, and everything they could find.  The adults enjoyed relaxing both in the water and out.  I don't think Papa and Grandma could have enjoyed the time more!

Golf balls, wood, and a rock - of course!

Aunt Val and Blake got along immediately!  This little boy missed his Aunt this past year!

Explanation?  No words can explain - but you can't not post!!

These two played 'house' for at least an hour in the cabin!
