Halloween...Iowa style

The boys got to go to our church's Trunk or Treat, and you couldn't have asked for a nicer day.  Our ISU Football players had some fun getting candy, playing games, jumping in a bounce house, and hot dogs and hot chocolate to top off the night!

Combine Rides with Papa!

You can't have fall without combine rides with Papa Knute!  Both boys got to spend some time riding with Papa, learning how to harvest beans.  Quote of the day:  Papa tried to show Tyler something, to which he responded "I know that.  I know everything about combining!"  Papa asked him what Papa John knows everything about.  Answer:  "Golf!"  

Cheese!!

Blake's new thing is to say "Cheese!" every time he sees me pick up my phone or camera.  He's such a ham!  He's developing such a personality.  He can smile and and melt your heart, and in the next moment yell at you until he gets what he wants!  I'm ready for the next step - words!

We also finally had our first true hair cut!  He did great - as long as he had his sucker!

Pumpkin Patch

It's become a fun family tradition going to a pumpkin patch every fall.  This year we went to a different one with our friends the Flora's.

I also got to go with Tyler and his preschool class to a pumpkin patch!  It was a lot of fun to spend the day 1:1 with my big boy!  

He said this was his favorite - cooking with mud!

Blake is a huge fan of corn on the cob, as long as he can eat it himself!!

Tyler found a love for bowling.  We went about 3 times in Aug-Sept!

Had to hit the I-Cubs for one more baseball game (and water!).

We got to do one ISU tailgate!  The boys had a great time with Uncle Kyle, his fiance Traci, and her family & friends. 

Tyler, Ashton, & Quinn - Urbandale had an outdoor day and blocked off the street with some vendors and food.
