Grandma Pete's Pond Party!

Papa's Pond was the site of yet another birthday celebration for Grandma Pete!  It was great weather for some floating, drinking, and just hanging out with family!

Josh & Grandma Pete on the deck.

Isn't this an awesome view for supper?

The master griller and man who built it all!

Bake looking pretty happy with Uncle Josh!

New tubes for the pond!  Notice the beer cooler - one was for full one's, one for empty's!

Blake was a pretty good boy - he took a nap so that I could float a bit, then we hung out on the deck.

Lori was giving me photograph tips, so here are some close-ups I took of Blake.

Mom, Dad, Aunt Linda, and Grandma Pete.

Tyler was a great kid all day, and here was one of his favorites - fishing with Dad!

Tyler's first day of Preschool!

Tyler started Preschool this year at Webster Elementary!  He has pre-school every morning, then an afternoon program that does lots of fun stuff related to what he learned in the AM.  He also does their before and after school program, which is mostly playing in the gym and lunchroom.  He loves it so far, with his favorite being playing in the gym!!  He gets to have recess and play on the playground, eat hot lunch, and be in the school with the big kids.  He is already learning so much from his teachers Ms. Cassie and Ms. Julie!

Blake's Baptism

Blake was baptized on Sunday, August 18th in Stanton at Mamrelund Lutheran Church.  Sponsers were Ingrid & Matt Perkins (Andrew's sister & bro-in-law) and Carrie & Josh Moline (Allison's sister and bro-in-law).  Blake did very well in during the service, amazing his parents!  Afterwards we had coffee at church, then heading to the Newman's for lasagna lunch.  Thank you to everyone for making this day special for us and Blake!

Nothing tops an occasion but an Eileen cake!  Yumm!

Just the Boys....

Here are a few of the boys..

Tyler doing is 'math' homework - coloring in a farm book my dad gave him!

He is a great helper!  I asked him to do corn and he did just that!  I love that he calls the silk 'noodles'!

Blake - 2 months!

Our little boy is growing fast and furious - here are a few things he was up to in month #2!

He often finds his fist to suck on as soon as we try tummy time.

Blake loves to look at moving things, so I splurged for a play mat for him.  So far he really likes it!

Another iCubs game.

He also loves to look around and 'stand up' - so we tried the bouncy early (thanks neighbors for loaning us this one!).

Big brother likes the playmat probably more than Blake!

Explanation needed?  As long as we get him tight in this swaddle at night, Blake will normally sleep 8-9 hours at a time.  He looks so funny and it seems mean, but it works!  He's starting to get to big and strong for it now, and the minute he kicks his way out, we wake up mid-night.

Big Brother

Tyler has been a great big brother, and really loves his little brother Blakey.  He has told us numerous times that we were wrong and he was right that it was going to be a boy!  Here are a few pictures...

This was his big brother gift - a CARS scooter.  Doesn't everyone ride a scooter in PJ's at 8 at night?  Once he saw it we just HAD to put it together that night, and you know how it is with kids!
